Have you heard about The Mane Choice Pink Lemonade? A couple of weeks ago we attended the launch party for The Mane Choice: Pink Lemonade & Coconut line. Once home I decided a Mane Choice Lemonade Review on 4b Hair could help you naturalistas out there. We are always happy to support the founder and CEO of The Mane Choice, Courtney Adeleye. Check out our instagram feed under the hashtag #TheManeChoiceInWalmart to see our pics from the event.
The Mane Choice began with Courtney’s personal healthy hair care journey, on YouTube she documented her hairs healthy transformation and soon after, everyone else wanted the products she was making for herself. The Mane Choice makes premium products infused with healthy hair essential nutrients like Vitamin E and Biotin. Their products are researched to make the best formulas and are designed to work on various hair types.
Here is what I think about each product in the Pink Lemonade & Coconut line I received at the event.
Pink Lemonade & Coconut Super Antioxidant & Texture Beautifier Shampoo
Smells like a glass of lemonade and is thick and creamy. I also love the color, makes me feel girly. It didn’t lather as well as I would have liked though, the product kind of sat on top of my hair. Had I not really gone in and massaged it in and worked it into a lather, my hair wouldn’t of been cleansed. This shampoo rinsed away clean, didn’t strip my hair color but did strip some moisture from my hair.
Pink Lemonade & Coconut Super Antioxidant & Texture Beautifier Conditioner
Again the pink lemonade smell is so nice. The conditioner has a similar texture to the shampoo. Still thick and creamy which is ideal for natural hair, or any kind of curly hair. Surprisingly even though the conditioner felt nice in my hand once it touched my hair and mixed with some water it didn’t have a lot of slip. No slip for me always ends in tangles, after some patience and TLC I was able to comb them out.
Pink Lemonade & Coconut Super Anti-Oxidant & Texture Beautifier Curl Boosting Sherbet
Looks good, smells good, feels nice and creamy. After the conditioner and detangling I applied this to my damp hair to do a twist out. I worked in small sections and used the amount instructed on the label. My twistout came out nicely, I had definition and hold. Even about two days later with minimal re-twisting my hair still had definition.
Pink Lemonade & Coconut Super Antioxidant & Texture Beautifier Mousse
I tried this product on a small area and think that it performed just like mousse usually does. It produced a lightweight hold that wasn’t hard to the touch. If you hair needs a heavier hold for curls this mousse may not be what you need.
Even though the entire product line didn’t work for me, it may still be worth a try. Overall, I think The Mane Choice Pink Lemonade & Coconut collection is a product line to consider when you are looking for products that prioritize hair health. The Pink Lemonade & Coconut collection has great ingredients, smells great, and has the right texture for natural hair.
